The Secret Life of Bees 2008

Lily, a girl from North Carolina, is haunted by the painful memories of her mother's death in 1964. She escapes her loneliness and complicated relationship with her father by fleeing with her only friend, Rosaline, to a town in South Carolina. This town, where her mother's memories resurface, brings Lily solace and comfort as she lives among Rosaline's sisters, who are beekeepers, and slowly begins to overcome her troubles.
